There are many types of Laproscopic conditions that may be treated in a hospital, some examples include:
- Infertility: Laparoscopy can be used to diagnose and treat infertility, including conditions such as endometriosis and pelvic adhesions.
- Ovarian cysts: Ovarian cysts can be diagnosed and treated using laparoscopy, which allows the surgeon to remove the cyst without making a large incision.
- Ectopic pregnancy: An ectopic pregnancy is a pregnancy that occurs outside of the uterus, and can be diagnosed and treated with laparoscopy.
Fibroids: Fibroids are non-cancerous tumors that can develop in the uterus, laparoscopy can be used to remove them.
- Pelvic pain: Laparoscopy can be used to diagnose and treat the cause of pelvic pain, such as endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and adhesions.
- Hysterectomy: A hysterectomy, which is the surgical removal of the uterus, can be performed using laparoscopy.
- Ovarian cancer: Laparoscopy can be used to diagnose and stage ovarian cancer, as well as to remove tumors.
- Gastrointestinal issues: Laparoscopy can be used to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal issues such as acid reflux, GERD and hiatal hernias.
- Gallbladder issues: Laparoscopy can be used to diagnose and treat gallbladder issues such as gallstones and inflammation.
- Hernia Repair: Laparoscopy can be used to diagnose and repair hernias which occur in the abdomen and can be caused.
